Podcast Bandit for Windows 8 and Windows RT, is a great app for listening to podcasts of your choice, for free. Unlike other paid alternatives, this freebie gives you the ability to listen to almost any podcast in the podcast-o-verse.
Just type in the URL of the podcast if incase you know it, or search for podcasts as you would do normally. All in all this is a great app if you own Windows RT, since Windows Store has no serious apps for podcast lovers. Though if you own, the full version of WIndows 8 operating system, you can get some other alternatives too, but this one is worth trying. The simple and uncluttered design is intended to get out of your way so you can quickly get to enjoy your favorite audio and video podcasts without a fuss.
